A bill that would allow DPI to issue reciprocity licenses to teachers from other states received a hearing at the State Capitol today.
Assembly Bill 195 (AB195) calls for expanding categories of licensure to help alleviate the teacher shortage through reciprocity.
WCRIS Executive Director Sharon Schmeling supported the bill and urged inclusion for private school teachers.
AB195 will remain in committee while legislators work out refinements.
