Key findings from the non-profit group’s report were:
- Wisconsin’s public school enrollment declined for the ninth straight year, decreasing by over 6,000 students in the 2022-23 school year;
- Statewide absenteeism increased for the sixth consecutive school year in 2021-22;
- Forward Exam scores ticked upwards in the 2021-22 school year, but are still low compared to previous years.
