Position Overview
The mission of NorthShore Classical Academy (NCA) is to inspire and challenge students with a robust classical education dedicated to student civic service, love of country and more character. We are looking for a leader who embodies the same mission through their character and actions.

NCA invites energetic and inspiring individuals to apply as Head of School for its inaugural year, commencing with the 2025-2026 school year. NCA is a private classical high school in Ozaukee County, Wis., which utilizes Hillsdale College Classical Curriculum and its unique World of Work™ program to offer students experiences in four career pathways (college preparation, industry/skilled trades, military/civilian leadership and entrepreneurship).

Leadership Responsibilities and Expectations
  • Executive Oversight: Provide comprehensive management of all school operations, including academics, finance, personnel, regulatory compliance and facilities.
  • Instructional Leadership: Observe teachers at regular intervals, document findings and offer constructive feedback in the capacity of both mentor and supervisor.
  • Board Relationship: Report to the school board at scheduled meetings, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Community Engagement & Representation: Serve as the school's executive leader in engagements with the public, school community and government agencies.
  • Guardian of Mission and Student Welfare: Oversee the education and well-being of students while upholding and advocating for the school’s mission.
  • Philosophy of Education: Recognize that classical education shapes both intellect and character, instilling virtue in
    young men and women; Articulate the enduring value of a liberal arts education with clarity and conviction; Cultivate a school culture rooted in principled self-governance and civic responsibility, aligned with the American classical tradition.

Qualifications and Requirements - Diversity of thought and experiences is fundamental. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however, others can be developed over time:
  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in a liberal arts discipline is required. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of five years experience in classical education; administrative experience in a classical or private school is preferred.
  • Intellectual and Pedagogical Foundations: Deep understanding of the classical liberal arts, its origins in the Western intellectual tradition and its enduring influence on American education; Familiarity with the Hillsdale College Curriculum is strongly preferred; Awareness of the systemic challenges afflicting contemporary education and its root causes.
  • Rhetorical and Communicative Proficiency: The ability to compellingly articulate the school’s vision, distinctive curriculum and pedagogical philosophy to parents, students, benefactors and the broader community; Mastery of both oral and written discourse, with the capacity to engage effectively across diverse constituencies, including students, faculty, staff, parents and civic leaders.
  • Pedagogical and Leadership Acumen: A deep understanding of the educator’s craft, with the ability to teach with excellence and mentor fellow instructors; Strong leadership skills in personnel management, including recruitment, hiring, supervision and professional development.
  • Strategic and Operational Aptitude: A capacity for prioritization and execution characterized by intellectual vigor, organizational precision and operational efficiency.
The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $100,000 annually. Pay will commensurate with experience. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications. Position Overview
The Green Bay Area Catholic Education school system (GRACE) is seeking a Superintendent for the 2025-26 school year. The right candidate is passionate about education and supporting our mission, “Building academic excellence and life skills while growing in our Catholic faith.”

GRACE operates nine preschool through eighth grade schools (one of which also offers a Classical high school) serving the greater Green Bay area. Formed in 2008, this school system serves more than 2,000 students. GRACE’s neighborhood schools are geographically distributed in the area with strong connections to the area parishes and the broader community.

The Superintendent will provide leadership and guidance to the GRACE school system by ensuring measurable academic improvement, providing professional development and leadership with our principals, teachers, student services and curriculum. All responsibilities will be in coordination with the President.

Essential Functions
Educational Leadership
  • Supervise and support Principals
  • Create programs that support, standardized and streamline educational processes
  • Coordinating with Principals, assess Professional Development opportunities for teachers
  • Supervise and Evaluate Director of Student Services and Director of Curriculum along with Team Curriculum
  • Support PLC strategy, as it relates to teaching and learning throughout GRACE
  • Serve as the GRACE’s new Teacher, student teacher placements and new teacher mentor contact
  • Coordinate Teacher Mentors for all new to the profession teachers, on an Initial License, new to GRACE
  • Provide training to all new teachers at GRACE in Year 1 and Year 2 of their Initial License
  • Oversee Mentor training to all Mentors assigned to new to the profession teachers in the district
  • Coordinate and submit data for WRISA accreditation and supervise WRISA team
  • Coordinate and communicate expectations for measuring effective teaching
  • Coordinate data analysis along with principal and curriculum team
  • Assist in coordinating trainings for building and district staff to strengthen school improvement efforts and processes
  • Participate in School Improvement process and practices and its related professional development
  • Assist with required federal, state and district reporting
  • Coordinate and assist with planning and delivering district and building professional development activities to staff with Director of Curriculum and Director of Student Services
  • Coordinate and plan, with the Curriculum Facilitators and Instructional Coaches, professional development for essential learnings, curriculum, instruction and assessment, instructional practices, and ongoing curriculum resource implementation support
Leadership Team and Board
  • Participates actively in leadership team meetings to strategize and position the organization for the future
  • Member of GRACE leadership team
Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Professional Administrator License
  • Master's degree in Education related field preferred
  • Minimum of five years of successful teaching experience
  • Previous supervisory and/or administrative experience
  • Knowledge of current and best practices in the assigned areas, including curriculum, instruction and assessment
  • Knowledge of the mission of Catholic education and the ability to deploy instructional best practices that support our mission
  • Ability to utilize, analyze and interpret data for decision making
  • Communicates effectively, proactively, and respectfully with teachers, staff, parents, and other stakeholders
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other district administrators and faculty to move the school district forward

The Headmaster is the spiritual, educational and administrative leader of the school. The Headmaster provides the Catholic Classical instructional leadership necessary for the school to fulfill its mission and to grow as a faith and learning community.

Essential Functions
A. Catholic Identity
  • Models the personal and professional lifestyle of a believing, practicing Catholic.

  • Manages the school by supervising personnel, overseeing budget, keeping records, doing short and long range planning, scheduling activities and performing other related duties.
  • Works with the sponsoring parish to coordinate maintenance to ensure that the site is a safe and clean environment in which to learn and work.
  • Seeks to resolve stressful situations to strengthen the community.
  • Promotes the growth of the school community through personal contacts, public appearances, and engaging their staff in community outreach.
  • Works with the SAC (Site Advisory Council) to implement marketing and fundraising programs to grow enrollment and meet annual fundraising goals.
C. Instructional
  • Integrates Catholic faith principles and culture into every aspect of the school.
  • Establishes and implements curriculum, subject to GRACE and diocesan goals.
  • Evaluates the results of testing programs and provides input to GRACE on the impact to affected school programs.
  • Provides ongoing monitoring of school programs.
  • Creates a school improvement plan in conjunction with community stakeholders.
  • Implements, monitors and reports on the school improvement plan.
  • Collaborates with GRACE and others to develop short and long term goals with specific evaluation procedures.
D. Students
  • Promotes quality education and access for children to achieve academic potential and growth in the Catholic faith.
  • Administers on-going assessment of the religious, academic, social, physical and emotional growth of students.
  • Communicates results of assessments to parents/guardians.
  • Applies discipline procedures consistent with the school’s Code of Conduct.
  • Seeks and utilizes resources to meet student needs.
E. Leadership
  • Serves as leader and/or resource to school organizations, diocesan committees and community groups.
  • Creates open and active communications between the school and the school community, utilizing all available tools.
  • Schedules school calendars with local events as much as possible.
  • Promotes school and Catholic education in the community through marketing and development.
  • Supports the GRACE leadership team and the GRACE Board of Trustees.
F. Professional Development
  • Ensures professional development of staff by working with other GRACE principals, president, and diocesan staff to plan and implement regular and on-going staff development programs.
  • Participates in diocesan educational, religious and administrative in-services and other applicable conferences.
  • Participates in academic courses, workshops and professional organizations (i.e., DASA, NCEA).
  • Stays current in educational and administrative best practices.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
The Headmaster must be a practicing Catholic with a master’s degree including coursework in school administration. It is recommended that the Headmaster be certified by the State of Wisconsin, be certified within three years of the date of hire or hold a Catholic Liberal Arts or Classical degree. The Headmaster must have a thorough understanding of a Classical education.
