In case you missed it, DPI updated their guidance on the National School Lunch Program to reflect the USDA religious exemptions memo. Read about it here in Current Events.
The DPI also said that its food and nutrition staff are making phone calls to schools to determine whether the updated guidance will bring them back in to the USDA program.
WCRIS advises schools to be brief in their conversations, if they take such a call from DPI. Schools need not elaborate on the beliefs and reasons for getting out of the program.
