A list of students’ names, grades and addresses who are eligible for district transportation is due to the school boards in your attendance area by May 15. The requirement helps districts budget and plan for next school year; it’s not meant to exclude future students.
WCRIS recommends writing at the end of this list: “Any student who applies for admission on or after May 15, 2024.” This should cover other transportation-eligible students who have not yet enrolled for the 2024-25 school year.
School boards may extend this deadline at their discretion. WCRIS recommends checking in with them to make sure you’re on the same page.
