The Department of Public Instruction (DPI) released a guidance document outlining ways it is responding to regulatory enforcement in the era of COVID-19.

The document, “COVID-19 Regulatory Flexibility Framework Provisions for the 2020-21 School Year,” is mainly for public schools. The DPI has said it will try to mirror those same flexibilities for private schools, as much as possible.

The document covers, among other things:

  • How to count attendance
  • How to conduct required safety drills
  • Hours of Instruction

These issues were addressed specifically for Choice Schools in an e-mail to School Choice Administrators from the DPI.
