Holocaust Education
Wisconsin’s 2021 Act 30 requires schools in the choice programs to provide Holocaust and other genocide education to grades 5-8 once and grades 9-12 once. Schools are required to update their curriculum by July 1, 2022, to be implemented in the 2022-23 school year.
Apprenticeships in Accountability Reports
Schools in the choice programs must include in their annual accountability reports a list of youth apprenticeship programs as part of the list of educational options available to students, according to 2021 Act 83. Learn more here.
Additional Laws
WCRIS previously covered a new law about immunization-related correspondence, effective immediately for all private schools.
Another new law provides DOJ grants to assist private schools in submitting mapping data to law enforcement agencies and the Office of School Safety. Read more about it in Current Events here.
