The 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline can be accessed 24/7 by calling or texting 988 or by using the chat feature.
The free and confidential helpline connects individuals of any age who are experiencing a suicidal, mental health and/or substance abuse crisis with a trained counselor.
Individuals will be routed to the existing Wisconsin affiliated National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (1-800-273-8255), which still remains in effect.
