A last-minute suspension of proposed student immunization requirements by the Legislature in March surprised health professionals, delaying official guidance from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS).
But DHS just updated its immunization booklet for the 2023-24 school year, which will help school administrators decipher what requirements have changed. The DPI School Nurse has also indicated to WCRIS that this is the form schools should be using for next school year.
The DHS and DPI are hosting a joint webinar on Aug. 21, 9-10:30 a.m., about the updated immunization requirements. Join the Zoom meeting here. WCRIS will share highlights in August.
