Several short videos have been created to help teachers explain how elections work in Wisconsin. An episode about election security features WCRIS’ own Madison Edgewood High School and students.
The four videos, called Elections 101, are politically neutral and provide a student-to-student overview of the electoral process. They are each less than eight minutes. They were produced by the Wisconsin Newspaper Association and the Wisconsin Election Commission.
The videos and corresponding lesson plans created by the DPI can be found here. Since WCRIS schools are uniquely different from public schools and instructors may not be comfortable with DPI content, teachers are encouraged to create their own lessons around the videos, if they choose.
