On Jan. 8 at Valley Christian School in OshKosh, Governor Walker addressed students and faculty speaking to the importance of schools like theirs to Wisconsin’s future.
“Students, like those here at Valley Christian School, are our future and we will continue to enact common sense reforms so they can have the best life possible and possess the skills and knowledge needed to help them live their piece of the American Dream,” said Governor Walker.
The fourth- through 12th-grade students were able to visit with Governor Walker after his talk and ask him questions.
“Our school theme this year is ‘Go BIG! Live. Dream. Be.’ and Governor Walker’s visit certainly was big for our school,” said Brad Dunn, Head Administrator.
“It was an honor to have Governor Walker speak to our student body today. We know his leadership, enthusiasm, and respect for the office of Governor and the state of Wisconsin was a great inspiration to our students.”
Valley Christian School, formally known as Oshkosh Christian was founded in 1974, by a group of parents, teachers and community members. It has grown from rented classrooms with a dozen students into a campus serving over 250 students. The school was one of the first to enroll in the Wisconsin Parental Choice Program.
