By state law, WCRIS has a representative on the DPI’s Professional Standards Council, which gives the State Superintendent recommendations and input on state teacher licensure. The WCRIS representative ensures private school teachers’ interests are included in these discussions.
The DPI, through the Professional Standards Council, is conducting a survey to collect information on developing more effective policies and strategies to attract, train, and retain educators in Wisconsin.
The WCRIS representative’s impact on the Professional Standards Council will be more effective if private school teachers participate in the survey. Your input will help develop policies related to educator preparation programs, licensing requirements, and professional development strategies.
