The second round of the School Safety Grants requires that at least one member of the School Safety Intervention Team completes a Threat Assessment Team Training.
The DOJ has released an extensive list of training opportunities to meet the requirement of the second round of grants. The training opportunities are available through the 2018-2019 school year in various locations. Participants should sign up now ahead of time to ensure participation in their preferred location.
The DOJ is also offering Adolescent Mental Health Training. This training provides you with the opportunity to train 10 percent of your staff to meet the second round requirements. Participants should sign up now ahead of time to ensure participation in their preferred location.
If you are still having issues fulfilling the three hours of Trauma-Informed Care Training under the first round requirements, WCRIS offers a free guide to members through the membership portal here.
