Reports of alleged critical incidents in schools have been sweeping the nation. Fifteen false incidents have been called in at Wisconsin schools, according to a report from the Wisconsin Department of Justice Office of School Safety (OSS).
Law enforcement agencies have labeled the practice as “swatting,” where a report of a false incident is made to provoke chaos and a large law enforcement response, such as a SWAT team.
