Experts have told WCRIS that in the coming months, school copier leases could be subjected to large pricing increases, heavy-handed sales techniques, and suggested “simple” 5-year lease renewals from dealer salespeople.
Industry watchers are warning that copier vendors are ramping up their seller-favorable language, which could mean higher costs for WCRIS schools.
As a result, the WCRIS Board authorized staff to work with experts at Copier Consulting to bring much-needed savings to our schools.
It’s buyer beware for schools that lease copiers and have to renegotiate a contract during this tumultuous time. So, don’t just renew the contract based on your sales representative’s suggestions, even if they claim you will get more for less.
If you have a copier contract up for renewal in the next 12-18 months, WCRIS recommends you contact Copier Consulting, which is a friend of WCRIS and can help you navigate the confusing and expensive terrain of your school copier.
They can work through phone, email, video conferencing and screen sharing to review your contract and make recommendations about renewal that will save you money.
Their services cost nothing upfront. They have saved churches, nonprofit groups, government agencies and businesses thousands of dollars.
Copier Consulting is an independent business and does not sell copy machines or copier leases. Their vested interest is only in helping you save money. They finance their services by receiving a portion of the money they save you on the copier contract renewals — after the contract is settled with your vendor. You only pay if they save you money. Payment comes from the money they saved you.
