WCRIS’ new Executive Director, Katie Scott, officially joined the WCRIS team this week.
“WCRIS schools are doing amazing work. I’m looking forward to meeting our members and learning how we can best support and advocate for them,” Katie said during her first week in the office.
A private school graduate herself, Katie joins WCRIS with a wealth of education policy and state government experience. Having worked for several state legislators, she has strong working relationships with and is well-respected by education stakeholders at local, state and national levels.
Katie is succeeding Executive Director Emerita, Sharon L. Schmeling, who’s retiring after serving WCRIS for nearly a decade.
